Tax sale certificate No. 92.

This is to certify, that at a sale of lands for unpaid taxes, under and by virtue of an act entitled "An act for the collection of denied taxes in insurrectionary districts within the United States, and for other purposes" held pursuant to notice at Alexandria, in the County of Alexandria, in the state of Virginia, on the 29 day of February A.D. 1864, the tract or parcel of land, hereinafter described, situate in the County of Alexandria, and state aforesaid, and described as follows; to wit, Sixty acres on Columbia Road, northwest of Court House seven miles; said to have belonged to Mr. L.W. Hunter and charged to him on the law book of the state aforesaid for the year 1860, and valued on said book at three thousand six hundred dollars, was sold and struck off to V.P. Corbett, for the sum of fifteen hundred and sixty dollars and ~~~ cents, he being the highest bidder, and that being the highest sum bidden for the same; the receipt of which said sum in full is hereby acknowledged and confessed.  
Given under our hands, at Alexandria this 29th day of February A.D. 1864.
