For the Hospital building used as a School for the Freedmen here, and the Mission House used by their teachers, I agreed on behalf of the Philadelphia Friend's' Freedmen's Aid Association, to give Five Hundred dollars, the price fixed by thee: but in the receipt Col Carse, Superintendent of the Freedmen's Bureau here, leaves out a small out building connected with the Mission house, used as a Doctor's office, and which was in the plan I sent to General Schofield, and was included in the valuation made by Col Carse.  In the same receipt he also reserved a lodging room in the Mission House for the use of the Doctor and the right to use certain rooms in
