Respectfully reports that in compliance with the order from the Office of Maj. Genl. Howard, he has made inquiry [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] in regard to the cost of "cork legs," and finds one cannot be purchased for less than one hundred dollars in this city.  Asks instructions in regard to the purchase of same.
