General:-
I have the honor to present the following statement of the sanitary condition of freedmen in the Dist. of Va. for the month ending June 30th 1867. to which is added some comparative data in regard to the same.

Number Sick and wounded freedmen remaining under treatment in Dist. of Va. April 30th 1867. 1440.
Number received during month of May.       2624.
Number died during month of May.             57.
Number remaining May 31st 1867.            1547.
Number rec'd during month of June          1968.
Number died during month of June             71.
Number remaining June 30th 1867.           1236.
Number of orphans under charge May 31st 67. 202.
Number of orphans under charge June 30' 67. 182.

It will be seen from the above statement that there were one hundred and seven (107.) more sick and wounded under treatment by medical Officers of the Bureau of the District, on the 31st of May than on the 31st of April
