In regard to their General Sanitary condition I have to report that the same improvement in personal neatness and disposition and ability, to supply themselves with proper food and clothing is still observed.

The number of insane persons under charge of Bureau has increased during the month of August.

The number remaining under treatment July 31st 67, was 44.
Admitted during month of Aug. /67 8.
Discharged during month of Aug. /67 1.
Remaining Aug 31st, /67. under charge. 51.

This shows an increase of seven (7.) cases during month. Many of these admissions during the month were cases which had been insane for a length of time, they were so situated that humanity seemed to require their transfer to Hospital.

The number of Orphans under the care of Bureau at the close of July was 177. Recd. during month 33. Died during mo. 4. Discharged during mo. 38. Remaining in charge Bureau, Aug 31st 168. It thus appears that there has been a decrease in the number "remaining" of Nine (9.) during the month of August.

I am Very respectfully Your Obdt. Sevt.
