I have the honor to present the following report of the condition of freedmen for the month of September 1867, that have been treated by the Medical Officers Bureau R.F. and A. Lands. in Dist. Va.

Number remaining Aug. 31st 1867. 1206.
Number Gained during month sept. 3070.
Number Discharged during month sept. 3016.
Number Died. during month sept. 75.
Number remaining Sept. 30th 1867. 1185.

showing a decrease of twenty one (21.) from remaining last monthly report. And also a decrease of 13. in the number of deaths. No form of epidemic disease has prevailed during the month.

There is no material difference in the number of insane during the month. The number on hand at last report was 51.
Gain during september 5.
