The Hospital at Farmville Va. will be closed within the present month probably by the 18th inst.

 - The attendants of various classes of all stations in the District, except Richmond Hampton and Farmville, have been discharged.

 - Those at Farmville will be discharged at the closing of that Hospital. -

 - Dispensaries have been continued at Richmond and Norfolk, and established at Lynchburg, Petersburg, Yorktown and Alexandria. -

 - The contracts of the A.A. Surgeons have been annulled during the month. One more will be discharged within ten days, and another when the Hospital at Farmville is closed.

 - The number of Medical Officers is now reduced to ten and will be soon to eight (8.)

 - The number of Hospital attendants has been reduced during the month 31, and at the present time only 37. remain in the service of the Bureau in this District. Six (6.) more will be discharged at the close of the Hospital at Farmville, leaving but 31 in the service.

 - These were remaining under treatment, in the insane ward of Howard Grove Hospital Sept. 30th. fifty (50.) persons, during the month of October there were received six (6.).  

Total treated in October (56.) fifty six. -
