Whereupon the said transcript of the record being seen and inspected, the said Judge being of opinion that there was reasonable doubt of the Justice of the judgment complained, and did therefore allow the writ of Supersedeas prayed for. But before the issuing of the said writ the said R.B. Howison or some responsible person was required to enter into bond with sufficient security in the penalty of Three hundred dollars, with condition to pay the amount of the said judgment, and all costs and damages which may be awarded, in case the judgment be affirmed, pursuant to which order, on the 23d day of June 1866, the following bond was entered into:-
