General.
I have the honor to make application for leave to visit my family at Manassas and remain ten days from the 3rd of July. I have finished the work of Registration and shall send in my reports tomorrow for this county.
I desire to go home to spend the 4" and in order that I may get leave in time I venture to send this direct to you, with the assurance that Maj. Morse approves of my having leave as he told me before I left Gordonsville. Please answer at Gordonsville. -Very Respectfully
