I have the honor to request transportation to Fredericksburg Va. for George Johnson (cold) 84 years of age en route to King George Co. three miles from the [?] H. where reside his wife Ellen and 2 daughters named Virginia and Amanda Johnson. He states they are living together on Dr. Wallaces farms; a portion of which he cultivates. He states he can support himself with the aid of his wife and daughters if he can get home. He is now and has been for six weeks an inmate of the Freedmens Hospital dependent on the Government for support and liable to remain so for a considerable length of time if this transportation be refused him. He came here in search of relatives and was unable to return for want of means.
Very Respectfully
Your Obdt. Servant.
