Lieut:
I have the honor to request transportation to Salem, Fauquier Co. Va. for Catherine Carter (cold) and two children under 12 years of age. She states that Mrs. Em Newman has written for her to come and she will provide her with a good home. She has been an inmate of the Freedmens Hospital near this city for some time she is now convalescent and desires to go home. This request is made to relieve the Government of her support.

Very Respectfully
Your Obdt. Svt.
