Respectfully returned to Lieut H.K.W. Ayres. Asst Supt &c who will give the names of the white men who ought to be brought before the Courts — as well as the reason for having them thus brought into Court, — as well as the name of the Sheriff and Magistrates who witnessed the affair as stated within. Also the reason why the Magistrates will not issue warrants, and further the reason of his not entering proper complaint having witnessed (as stated in a former communication to these Head Quars) the Riot.

Lieut Ayres will also state what means by word or acts he took — at the time of the riot — to quell or put down the disturbance.

This paper to be retuned with report.
