I have received information and a request to assist a a Company of gentlemen in Mississippi who are about to start largely into cotton planting in that state between the Sunflower & Miss. Rivers.

They say they want the labor and that the Bureau favors the whole move and one of the Prime movers of the affair is now in Washington to get the entire cooperation of the whole Bureau in obtaining labor from this country as from all others where men is an overplus.

I desire to intrust myself on behalf of the Company not only on account of my intimacy with some of its members but because I have an idea myself of being interested in the enterprise and further because I believe by removeing [[strikethrough]]men[[/strikethrough]]
