In compliance with Circular No 12, Bureau of Refugees Freedmen & Abd Lands Head Quarters Asst Comr State of Va. Richmond Va dated June 8.1867. I have the honor to report, that, as Military Commissioner for this Division I have - during the month - taken cognizance of three cases in which the rights of Freedmen were involved; they were as follows.
1st Benjamin T. Henry was arrested and brought before me and tried for an assault on Marshal Pool: disposition made; case dismissed at the cost of Marshal Pool.
2nd Benjamin T. Henry was arrested and brought before me and tried for an Assault and Battery on James Pool: Disposition made: - Benjamin T. Henry held to bail in the sum of five hundred dollars to report at my office once a week until General Schofield decided whether he should be tried by a civil court or by a Military commission.
3rd Patrick Henry for an assault on Lucy Pool. Disposition made: Patrick Henry bound in the sum of One hundred dollars to keep the peace
