Respectfully shows - that she is the owner in fee of one lot of land in the Town of Hampton County of Elizabeth City described as bound by Queen Street, Cumming & M [[?]]  That she understands that the said lot is now on the books of the Freedmans bureau and she respectfully asks restoration of the same to her. In support of this her application she files

1st Certificate of the clerk of the County Court of Elizabeth City County that the lot is charged to her in the Land books of said County A
2nd Certificate of her having taken the Amnesty Oath marked B
3. Certificate that she has not committed any of the exceptions of the Amnesty proclamation of the President of the United States marked C
4.  Certificate from the Clerk of the United States District Court that no proceeding have been instituted for Confiscation of said property

Elizabeth City is in North Carolina. Elizabeth City County is in southern Virginia and was in 1952 absorbed into Hampton County. I'm unable to locate the other street that borders the lot in question, near Queen street and Cumming.
