York County, to wit:

On this 29th day of June 1867, before me Edw. C. Darlington, a justice of the peace in and for said county, personally appeared the following parties who being duly sworn, doth depose and say as follows:

Richard Kidd (sworn) I am the husband of Henrietta Kidd, sister to John Wyatt, ded. whose bounty money is deposited with Col. Williams, of Canandaigua, N.Y.. I have been acting for my wife and her mother, Mary Hawkins, who are the only heirs, in the matter of getting said bounty. Capt. Massey of the Freedmen's Bureau never offered to buy the claim, nor to advance money on it in any way. I never proposed to sell the claim to any one. I never told any person that any one offered to buy the claim.
