General,
   I have the honor to report that on the 25th inst. as Military Commissioner, I caused John Williams (white) to be arrested and brought before me under charges of assaulting and beating Silas Hite, cold. (all of Brunswick Co.) Upon the hearing of the case the complaint was sustained when I required the said John Williams to give bonds and security in the sum of two hundred (200) dollars to  keep the peace for twelve months towards all citizens of the Commonwealth and especially toward the said Silas Hite (cold).
