General In compliance with direction from the Asst" Commissioner. I have the honor to specify the following as the second case referred to in my report for the month of November 1866. Booker Robison (colored) hired his Step-son. Samuel Robison. to Watkin Lacenberry for this year. The said Lacenberry. did on several occasions whip & beat said boy unmercifully. He made complaints to his step father of his bad treatment. But the father returned him every-time thinking that it would not occur again. During the early part of September Lacenberry send the boy to a neighbors house to borrow a saw for the purpose to cut up a tree. with orders to meet him at the certain place where the tree was, Lacenberry going there direct.
