Jesse has writen you at different times directing to Richmond and Lexington - to none of these letters has there been any reply. And we supposed you either not amongst the living, or that you had left Richmond. I write for the purpose of telling you that Julia, is liveing with me; never haveing left me. And that she has been bound to me by the "Freedmans Bureau" untill Sept 1867. She is perfectly well at present, and contented and happy - is provided with every comfort is learning quite rappidly.
