On the 10th of January last a communication written by E. B. Townsend, was referred to Bvt: Col: G.B. Carse, Asst: Supt:, thro your office, nothing has since been heard from it.

The letter was written in behalf of Jas. Adams col'd and made inquiries concerning his Bro'rs and Sisters living in Pittsylvania County, Va.
