"A."
Franklin County to wit
Ann E Woods of the said County came personally before me John I Saunders a Justice of the said County on this 7th day of March 1867 and made complaint on oath that Polley Smithers in said County declared and threatened that she would shoot Ammon Turner a servant employed by the said Ann E Woods, by reason whereof she this complainant is afraid and has good cause to fear that the said Polley Smithers will do her some private injury, and therefore prays she may be required to give surity to keep the peace towards her. And the said Ann E Woods also says on oath that she does not make the complaint against the said Polley Smithers nor require such surity from any hatred malice or ill will but merely for the preservation of her person and property from injury.
Sworn to before me.
(Signed) John I Saunders J.P. (Signed) Ann E Woods.
