Washington College,

     The Faculty have learned with regret that some Students of the College have disturbed the exercises of the Coloured School in Lexington, and by disorderly conduct at the City Post Office, have delayed the delivery of the mails. Such acts are injurious to the community, disreputable to the College, and unbecoming its members. Though committed by a few, and proceeding from thoughtlessness and a want of consideration, they are discreditable to all the Students, who have to bear the blame of that of which they are innocent. The President, therefore, calls upon the Students to discountenance all such proceedings, to refrain on all occasions from visiting the schools and assemblies of the coloured population, and, by good order at the Post Office, to facilitate the opening and delivery of the mails.
