Whereas William L. Lyle colored has [[strikethrough]] this day [[/strikethrough]] made complaint and information on oath before me J.W. Sharp Brvt Major and Military Commissioner for the counties of Rockbridge, Bath & Alleghany State of Virginia that Captain George Tager of the canal boat Joseph C. Cabel, now lying at the landing near Lexington on the morning of the 16th of June 1867 at the said Landing did assault and beat him the said William J. Lyle. These are therefore, to command you in the name of the United States forthwith to apprehend and bring before me, the body of the said Capt. George Tager, to answer unto the said complaint and to be further dealt with according to General Orders No 31 Hd Qrs 1st Military District Series 1867
