I do no know either which, Then I seen the man (dead) who was waiting with the lemonade go to pitch right out the door. I caught him before he pitched out the door two [[steps?]] and laid him down and applied cold water for him till he died. I closed his mouth and eyes, was all I done, I seen no more and was out of the house,
Cross examined.

What I know and all I know about it I heard the report of a gun, and ran from the front door to the back door, then the man was lying dead on the floor. who shot him I do not know, because I wasn't outside of the house in all I stood on the front door to see who came in without paying and of course I could not leave the front door. I did not hear any shots or any firing before this except great deal quarelling. It was about 12 o'clock midnight. I thought it was a gun at at least it sounded like one. The dead man did not speak after being shot, I was with him till the time he died.
