I have the honor to submit the following report in compliance with Circular No 10 C.S dated Hd. Qurs Asst Comr. State of Va Mch 12 1866
The Act, abolishing the Examining Courts, went into effect the 1st inst, hence there were no criminal cases before the County Courts this month.
No criminal cases came before the Wilson Co. quarterly Court this term, and there are no freedmen in jail to be tried in that County. The other quarterly Courts in the 1st Div meet the Coming months
The Magistrates have acted very promptly in all cases of assault &maltreatment. There is a decided improvement in this respect. 
A great portion of the Cases which I am called upon to Act as Military Commissioner
