Some time since several complaints were made, to the effect that there was considerable difficulty attending the admission of colored persons into the Poor House; but prompt action on my part, in each instance, has stopped all that; and, owing to a similar line of conduct, the establishment is not now in near as bad condition as formerly. Complaints of physical abuse, which were, formerly, also quite frequent, have, lately, likewise ceased altogether, I shall continue to labor further in the same interests.
