Lynchburg, Va., Nov, 5th 1867.

Lieut. C. F. Robe.
A.A.A.G. Sub District of Lynchburg.
Lynchburg Va.

Lieutenant,

In compliance with the attached copy of an order from Head Quarters Sub District of Lynchburg dated Oct 16th 1867 I have the honor to report that I have awarded Robert Hunt colored damage of $20.00 twenty dolls against each of the parties referred to in said order; released Reed from jail and turned the assailants over to the civil authorities to be prosecuted by them for the offense committed The accused are all poor young men, and though the Dr testified that Hunts skull was fractured he has entirely recovered, and the damages awarded is ample, as he lost little time. Magan paid the ammount assessed against him King Dougherty and Reed gave satisfactory security for payment on demand. Dukes has cleared the country. Your attention is invited to report from this office with depositions in this case dated and forwarded Sept 22nd 1867.

Very Respectfully
Your Obt. Serv't,

Lieut. V.R.C. and Milty Comm
