I have the honor to report the following case, in which I have taken action as Military Commissioner, Viz

On the sworn statement Isaac McDaniel (Cold) I ordered the arrest of L.V. Overstreet &. Joseph Poindexter, for assaulting, and beating the said McDaniel, on Sunday Nov 3d 1867. - The prisoners having been brought before me, and offered no evidence in defence. I proceed to hear the sworn evidence on the side of the plaintiff.

It having been plainly proven: that on Sunday morning Nov 3d 1867, L.V. Overstreet, first entered the house of Isaac McDaniel, and made the attack, and that Joseph Poindexter soon followed, and assisted in throwing said
