btween Maxwell & the Rectors for two or three weeks when Some Person tolde me that Maxwell and the Rectors had had another difficulty I then herd no more about the cas for some time afterwhen I herd that Maxwell had made A presentment before the grandjury of the County and A trubill was found against the Mr'srs Rectors. after which time I was Sumoned to attend as A witness before the County Court in the Case and Accordingly I attended the Court in Warrenton on the day that I was Summoned the case was caled. Neither Maxwell or the Rectors was their, the case was caled & continued to the Next court I wa againe Summoned but did not attend as none of the Partys was at the former Court as I was living about 17 miles distant from the Court House. 
And I have herd that Mr. Maxwell Says that he Applide to me for A warrent & that Refused to grant the warrent but I heare affirm that he never did apply to me for any warrent for the Mr'srs Rectors or against anyBody els you
I would have Answered your Letter Sooner but your Letter was not directed to my Regular Post office and consequently it Remained in the Post office for Sometim before I Received it
