Gen. O. Brown A.A.A. Genl.

General,
Your letter of the 9th inst. in relation to the discharges of James and Albert Glover is received.

I cannot comply with your request for the return of their discharges now, for the reason that they are in the hands of the 2nd Auditor at Washington D.C. I am in daily expectation of the settlement of those claims.

I have placed your address upon my record with their claims, and as soon as the settlement is made by the Auditor, I will notify you of the fact, and hold their money and discharges subject to your order.

Very Respectfully
Your Obedient Servant.
