Boston May 9th 1867.

To William Gibbons

Dear Sir,
I have recd yours of May 4th. and am glad to hear from you.

If you can get the girls they had better come, but I am afraid that one would be discontented and homesick.

It has got so late now that I cannot make any arrangement for government transportation, but I hope that you can there.

The Freedmans beaureau provides transportation if application is made in season, and I must trust to you or Miss Gardner to do what you can.

Cannot send the money for I do not know how many are coming or how much is wanted
