I am Magistrate at Farmville. I was in company with Dr. Thaxton during most of the disturbance of Tuesday last. I commanded the peace and one of the soldiers struck at me. I have heard the foregoing affidavit of Dr Thaxton read to me and fully corroborate it in all respects
