General
The "Court" on Taylor Farm referred to in my letter of 10th inst. were arrested on last Saturday & tried without difficulty. Although it was fully established by evidence that the complainant was tied up & his gun sold the Magistrate thought it best to deal lightly with them he therefore bound them over to keep the peace for 3 months in the sum of 50 Dollars each. There has been no trouble of any kind of the farm or with the people. The Virginian is the only paper in the city who publishes reports of difficulties, it is doing so probably for electioneering purposes. It states this morning that the people are entrenching themselves on the farm to resist a removal if such should be undertaken. Some of the people living on the farm have been here this morning & on being question about it say it is not true.
