States, in reply to communication of the 11th inst., directing him to report whether Mr. Poor, Clerk, has been absent from, or neglected his duties at any time, and whether he has used his position in the Bureau for political influence, that Mr. Poor has only been absent on business of importance to himself, in Washington and Baltimore. States that he has not neglected his duties, or in any way used his position for political influence.
