I have the honor to report that no discharges took place in this sub-district (so far as known) thro' dissatisfaction on the part of employers with the exercise of the election franchise by the freedmen -

Their dissatisfaction so far has been confined to threats, and withdrawal of patronage from colered blacksmiths etc, who were dependent upon the public generally for support.

Some discharges have occurred but it does not appear that they were owing to political influences.
