In obedience to your letter of request, 15th inst. I have the honor to respectfully report that our present room for office use is in the building No. 47 Bank St. up one flight of stairs, which building needs some paint and repairs to render it respectable. We can occupy it only until January next, in any case, and by moving now, can secure just the place for a business like ours. 

We have on our books 911 depositors, and a balance due them of nearly $40,000.00 which balance is steadily increasing.  We have usually from 200 to 300 calls on business, in every week. The payment of bounties through our Bank, will during the present year bring in four or five thousand ex-soldiers several times, in addition to regular business, and as each of these will receive from the
