Dear Sir-

In regard to the case by Edmund I. Poulson v. Frank Bull, et al, lately decided in the County Court of this County, I beg leave to submit the following statement - The evidence disclosed the fact that Bull purchased of Mr. Poulson, in 1862, a negro man, by the name of Charles Poulson, at the price of one hundred dollars ($100.00), and that for the payment of the $100.00 he executed his bond to Mr. Poulson,- Sometime last year, Mr. Poulson instituted a suit upon this bond, against Bull- The latter employed Mr. Johnson & myself to defend the suit, and directed us to plead a failure of consideration in
