Reports that Two hundred and thirteen 99/100 (213 99/100) dollars was collected by Maj. Egbert Pro. Mar. Sub. Dist of the Peninsula stationed at Williamsburg on or about Feb. 5 1866. from Mr. Backhouse of Gloucester Co. Va. for the benefit of the heirs of Ben. Goldman deceased the same never having been received by these colored people and information having been received that the same was forwarded to Fort Monroe. Asks that such action may be taken in the matter as may be deemed proper.
