Your letter of inquiry dated Dec 6th has just been received, and I hasten to reply - The money (of which you speak as holding a receipt from me) has been paid to the "Heirs of the Goldman Estate", and I hold a receipt for it. The money ($214.00) was sent to G.W.A. Goldman, care of L. E. Perrin, in accordance with a request for the same through some Officer of the "Freedmens Bureau"  I think the one at Yorktown. But as I have not the papers before me cannot say
