at Bermuda Hundred where he continued to work until July 31st 1864 at (30) thirty dollars per month, & that he was hired by one Mr Linktum to work on Taylor Farm Norfolk Va. from April 1st 1865 to April 1st 1865 at (75) Seventy five cents per day, & that has received for the whole of his work but(18) eighteen dollars.

David Locker, Shedrick Wood, & Jordon Wilson, State that they were hired by Capt E.R. Champlin to work in the Commissary Dept at Town point near Norfolk City Va. from 7th of July 1862 until August 7th 1863 at (10) ten dollars per month & that there is still due them for said labor (70) Seventy dollars.

John Moore:  States he was hired by Mr Emmerson to work in the Quartermasters Department from January 1st 1863 to January 1st 1864 at (15) fifteen dollars per month & that he has received no money or pay for any part of above time        Capt Ludlow

There is nothing on record in this office to show that the above named parties were ever in Govt employ, their statements are set forth as given by themselves.
