Richmond Va General:- I have the honor to report in relation to the lot of land situated at City Point and borne upon my Land Report as the "Estate of Wm Bragg", as follows. Mr David May, of this City, the executor of the estate informs me that Wm Bragg died in the year 1863, without a will, his property reverting to his four children when the become of age. This property (of which the lot referred to above is a part) was recently sold to carry out the law in the case, the parties thereto having no knowledge that the property had ever been or was in possession of the U.S. As the property has passed out of the hands of the original owner, instructions are respectfully requested what measures to pursue Very Respectfully Your Obt.
