Respectfully return to Bvt Brig. General O. Brown A.A.A.G. with the information that the accounts of Major Stone for December 1866 were received at this office January 10th 1867 and forwarded together with similar accounts to General P. Blunt Chief Qr. Mr. Dept Potomac January 23d 1867 for payment.

The attention of General Blunt was called to the delay in payments of December accounts on the 1st instant, General Blunt returned the December accounts of Bvt Major Stone on the 12th instant for information as to the cost of wood at Petersberg Va. The price changes being considered excessive. These accounts were received back with letters of explanation on the 20th of February and returned to Gen'l Blunt on the 23d, since which time nothing has been heard from them. 

The January accounts of Major Sloane were received at this office on the 1st inst and on the 18th forwarded to General Blunt.
