Cook Geo T.
Lt & Asst Supt.

Reports case of Freedmens Court deciding that a horse picked up by Henry Walker (cold) and brought to Mr Rich'd Walkers place, should be turned over to the former, which he (Richard Walker) failed to do.

Subsequently the horse was delivered to Henry, through one Jas N. Kelly representing himself as a U.S. soldier, and who is now held for trial for felony. Has turned the horse over to Henry until he receives instructions from higher authority, as he desires the right of the Civil authorities to decide in regard to the horse.
