Slave of James. M. Harris and has nothing to show, no witnesses to prove that he ever bought himself. In my opinion he would not be able, before the civil court to recover anything. He can prove nothing relative to the bond or any statement that he makes.

Before taking any steps toward making cost I herewith respectfully return your letter of April 27th together with a statement of each of the parties and certificates from other Gentlemen, for the consideration of the Asst. Comr. and further instructions in the matter.
