Hanover C.H.   July 11th 1867

The undersigned executrix of the estate of the late John Winder of Elizabeth City County, Va., would respectfully represent that the Estate of the said John Winder situated in the county aforesaid is now and has been for the last two years in the possession of the Freedmen's Bureau and would further represent that I was appointed executrix of the estate of the aforesaid John Winder by the County Court of Elizabeth City County in the month of March eighteen hundred and sixty six and that I am not embraced in any of the excepted classes, named in the Proclamation of the President of May 29th 1865.

I therefore would respectfully, request that the estate of the before named John Winder situated as aforesaid be surrendered to me by the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, for the benefit of the heirs, of said estate. None of whom have given voluntary aid or support to the rebellion.
