States, that on the 5th of August, 1867, $26.00, was forwarded by him, through the proper channels, to G.W. Seldridge, Bureau Agent, at Dalton Ga., said money being for payment of transportation of Emeline Mead, (cold) from Dalton Ga to Petersburg Va.

Nothing has since been heard of this money.
