The affidavit of Terence O Brien of the County and State aforesaid being first duly sworn deposeth and says That he issued rations to Freedmen at Camp Hamilton Virginia from October 1863 to July 1866  That the above list comprises the head of Freedme families residing on the farm of the Honorable Joseph Segar in the County aforesaid to whom Government rations had been issued by this deponent  That this deponent believes each family will average at least three persons  That during the above time this deponent was employed in the Commissary department of the U.S. Government at Fort Monroe Virginia and further this deponent sayeth not
