Your communication of 12th inst. enclosing discharge paper of Ceaser Cooper, late Co "D" 2d U.S.C.Cav. together with duplicate receipts for his signature, for $289.50, amount of Bounty, less attorneys fees, has been received.

Enclosed herewith I return the receipts referred above properly signed, and would respectfully request that draft in payment thereof be forwarded by return mail, as Cooper, who lives in the Country, will be in the city on Tuesday to receive his funds.
