City Dispensary
Richmond Va
May 23rd 1867

We the undersigned District Physicians would state in behalf of the Dispensing Stewards, that they have been faithful in the discharge of their duties. Our prescriptions have all been filled when the medicine called for appeared on the list furnished, and at no time has the Dispensary been closed during the past two weeks, so far as our knowledge goes. No complaints of their conduct has been made to us, by any of the patients prescribed for.

To the above we would add, that there are a number of doors to the building we now occupy opening to the outer world, & more than once have persons been found at other than the one leading to the Dispensary, & we have reason to believe that many have come and gone away to report the Dispensary closed when, if the fact were known, they had [[strikethrough]] had [[/strikethrough]] been trying to gain
