Dear Sir,
I am requested, by Mary and Margaret Young, sisters of Chas Young dec'd late of Co K 37th U.S.C.T. and Mary Ford sister of Hardy Ford dec'd late of Co E. 37th U.S.C.T. to forward their applications enclosed to you, and request that their brothers' Retained Bounty may be sent down to the Freedman's Savings Bank at this place.- Samuel Barber, Private Co G. 38 U.S.C.T. also requests that you will have his Retained Bounty sent to the same Bank. You can address these parties care Box No 452, and their letter will reach them. I shall also be pleased to hear from you on this subject, of Retained Bounties as I know of many who are entitled to it, and do not know how to proceed to get it, since Genl Balloch has stopped the payments of it to Claim Agents,- Genl G.A.B. however directs applications to be made to you, and I have sent them as I understand the matter.
